Foam Rods

Okay, so I tried the new style (see post: New Link). It came out looking more like a roller-set than a curly fro. I think it was because I bought the medium-sized rods and had my twists too big. I’m going to try it again next week with smaller rods and smaller twists. Hopefully I’ll have more curl definition.

So, without further ado, here’s the hair. Had to take the pic myself early in the morning, so don’t expect anything spectacular. *giggles*

How fabulous does your rod-set look! Good job. I like rod-setting my hair too. I think it’s a great natural look that can last at least a week or more, which is a bonus! Ciao.

Thanks! I like the style and how it turned out. But I’m currently looking for new products to use. Some of the ones I’m using now are conflicting with each other. I’m going to do this style again with smaller rods and new products.

Your hair looks SO adorable with this roller set! Did you use aloe vera gel to detangle with this style as well? Thanks for taking the time to post this information for us. It’s truly helpful. :o )

@Elle – I didn’t start using the Aloe Vera gel until after this picture. I should take a picture of it now. It looks like that (a little) but a little more curl on top.
